Welcome to the 2024 school year.

I am pleased to report that we have made a great start to the year. Staff have engaged in a packed 3 days of professional learning as we worked together to set up for our students and families to return. I am also pleased to report that our new year 7s and our kindergarten students have had a successful beginning to the year.

I would like to thank our families for their work in preparing our students for their return and I extend a warm welcome to new students and families. 

I would also like to welcome three new staff members to the team at Campania. Eva Bitterova (Year 7) and Rose Davis-Nel (Year 8) and Emily Nisbet (AST – Primary). I would also like to congratulate Kym Johnson on winning our substantive AST – Senior Secondary role.

We are all very excited about what we are aiming to achieve this year and would like to invite our families along to a Meet, Greet and Eat event in March to meet the team and to check out our new courtyard upgrades, new 11/12 space and take a peek into our classrooms. More information to come.

Starting the new school year can be a bit of bumpy time for some students. Just remember that our teachers and school community are here help, Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher via the office. Contacting the office directly on 62604133 is especially important to explain absences.

SAFEGUARDING LEAD APPOINTED

Campania District School has recently appointed Emily Nisbet as our Safeguarding Lead.

Safeguarding Leads have been appointed in all Tasmanian state schools to help ensure all children and young people in Tasmania are known, safe, well and learning.

Emily comes to us with experience as a Safeguarding Lead at her previous school and has completed the relevant Professional Learning and training.  Please support Emily in her new role!
